Between demanding careers, two kids, and the beautiful chaos of family life, we've lived the frustration that inspired Weekendar.
The idea for Weekendar was born in our kitchen - not a conference room. During a year-in-review conversation in 2025, we realized something uncomfortable: we hadn't spent nearly as much time with friends and family as we thought we had. When we looked at our calendars, the problem wasn't a lack of free weekends. The problem was coordination.
We had people we loved and missed — the kind of friendships that live in "we should get together soon" texts that never turn into plans. After saying, over and over, "I wish I could just see when everyone is free and lock something in without endless back-and-forth," the idea clicked: let's build something that helps us do just that.
So we built it.
Weekendar is for the parents juggling everything. For the friendships that matter, but keep slipping down the list. For the friend groups trying to lock in plans, but getting lost in the sauce of the group chat. For anyone tired of the hecticness of the world and the decision fatigue that comes with it, getting in the way of real time together.
Work-life balance isn't just a buzzword for us - it's the reason this app exists. The best memories rarely come from perfect planning; they happen when showing up becomes easy. Weekendar is designed to remove the friction between wanting to see someone and actually seeing them. It not only makes showing up possible, it makes it almost effortless - by design.
Unlike traditional social platforms, our definition of success is simple: less time on the app, more time in real life. More plans that stick. More moments that happen. More memories made.
